"Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples." (Luke 11:1)
Prayer Ministry is an intentional response to the powerful gift of prayer that God has given to his people. By establishing Prayer Ministry as one of the ministry areas of our congregation, it gives a team of prayerful people the opportunity to intentionally seek God’s will and advance the power of prayer for all.
There are many different types of prayer and Christian disciplines. The Prayer Ministry group meets weekly to explore those options in a setting full of learning, inspiration, and encouragement. This group studies a variety of discipleship and prayer-related topics through readings and discussion.
There is no requirement to pray out loud. Instead, the group strives for personal spiritual growth through many forms of prayer and fellowship.
A peaceful meditation room is available in the Fellowship Hall for quiet contemplation and prayer.

Women’s Bible Study
Meet with an extraordinary group of women for study, prayer and mutual support. This class is led by Annette Amdal and meets on Mondays at 6:15pm throughout the year. You can always find out more information about this and other classes by contacting the church office at 702-255-1990.
Men’s Bible Study
John Mestemacher is one of our me's group leaders. It is important for men to gather for prayer and study. Often, spirituality has been more embraced by the women of the church but we know that all of us, female and male are children of God and the more we seek the Lord the healthier and more effective we are as disciples of Jesus Christ.
For more information about future classes please contact the church office at 702- 255-1990.
Wednesday Morning Study

No sign up necessary, just show up at 9:00 AM in classrooms 210 A and B. Chi Kung (Qigong) and Tai Chi Exercise Classes
Stressed? Want to improve your health, balance, and strength? Chi Kung (Qigong) are ancient healing exercises used to awaken and balance energy (chi) through movement, breath work, visualizations, sounds, and meditation. They unify our body, mind, and spirit leading to improved metabolism, stimulated immune systems, reduced stress, and increased stamina, balance, and flexibility.
Chi Kung is appropriate for all ability levels and can even be practiced while sitting. Dodie Amundson leads these classes twice a week throughout the year, and newcomers are always welcome. Per instructions from the Church Council, all participants need to complete a release form (available at the class) and the suggested free-will offering for non-church members of $5.00 per class will continue to stay in effect.
If you are looking for a good next step in exercising from Chi Kung, consider joining Dodie’s weekly Tai Chi class. This class is learning the Yan 48 form and a fan form. Giving more of a workout with deep stretching exercises and slow, flowing movements, the Tai Chi class deeply integrates and enhances chi energy circulation. This class also welcomes new participants at any time and no prior experience is necessary.
For more information about these exercise classes, please contact the church office at 702-255-1990 or Dodie Amundson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
