The Adventurers is an inter-generational ministry at St. Andrew that involves monthly field trips to a variety of interesting places in the Las Vegas Valley. Trips are open to all members and their guests, including teens, families, empty-nesters, and Senior Saints.
This ministry has three goals:
1. To experience fun and interesting events and places in the Las Vegas area
2. To grow in learning, and
3. To foster fellowship among our church members and their guests
Recent trips have included the Thunderbird Museum at Nellis Air Force Base, the Clark County Museum, experiencing the Conservatory at the Bellagio, and attending a performance of the Living Nativity at Opportunity Village. We always finish our trips with lunch at an interesting location.
Watch the church newsletter and bulletins for future Adventurers activities. Sign-up sheets are available in the Narthex and Fellowship Hall.
Enjoy a good meal? Want to get to know other St. Andrew members in a more social setting? Love to cook? Why not join one of our Dinner Clubs?
The Dine-In groups take turns hosting each other in their homes for dinner once a month. The Dine-Out group prefers to sample different local restaurants for fellowship while letting others cook. Either way, you get a tasty meal and a convivial evening.
For more information about the Dinner Clubs, contact the church office at 255-1990.
For an evening of good food, good fun, and good fellowship, nothing beats our monthly Game Night event.
Held on the second Friday of each month in the Fellowship Hall, we begin at 6:00pm with a pot-luck supper and then break out a variety of board and card games.
Please sign up on the bulletin board each month if you plan to attend. For more information, contact the church office at 255-1990.
All men and women of St. Andrew, from children to Senior Saints, are invited to attend the Breakfast Club monthly meetings and enjoy the great food and wonderful fellowship. The Breakfast Club usually meets the first Saturday of every month at 8:00 am in the Fellowship Hall.
A fabulous breakfast is followed by an interesting speaker and discussion time. Monthly speakers and activities are announced in church the week prior to each event, and included in the bulletins. Previous meetings have featured Lyllus McHargue (comedian), Dr. Vaughn Whited (talking about the Reformation, Martin Luther, and John Wesley), Sammy Liguori (impersonator and impressionist), Kent Larson (Thrivent Financial for Lutherans), and Tom Maatta (Development Director for LSSN) as well as Military Chaplains and Las Vegas Metro detectives.
Please sign up on the Fellowship Hall bulletin board to help out with cooking and clean-up. For information about future programs, please contact the church office at 255-1990.
