Weekly
Chi Kung (Qigong) Exercise Class
Looking for a safe, gentle, effective, easy-to-follow
and easy-to learn form of exercise? You will find one at our
relaxing weekly Chi Kung exercise class. This traditional Chinese "energy
work" helps
stretch, strengthen and tone your muscles, increases the range
of motion in all your joints, and incorporates full breathing
techniques. Chi Kung is good for all ability levels and can be
done either standing or sitting. Health benefits include improved
balance, flexibility, and circulation. Wear comfortable clothes
and bring some water. For further information, contact Dodie or
just come to the next session.
Tuesdays, 9:00 - 10:00am,
in the Social Hall
Teacher: Dodie Amundson (654-1514 or SilverDragonPathways@gmail.com)

The Chi Kung class works on the "Eight
Pieces Of Brocade,"
a
traditional, ancient set of exercises. |

Women of the ELCA (WELCA)
The mission of the Women of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America is to mobilize women
to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ. As a community
of women created
in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ,
and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves
to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another
in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote
healing and wholeness in the church, the society,
and the world.
All women of St. Andrew are welcome and encouraged to come
to WELCA meetings and Book Club studies.
Our next Book Club meeting will be September
13th at noon. We will finally get to review “The
Help” by Kathryn Sockett, as the June Club meeting
was canceled. Just bring a sack lunch and come to the Social
Hall. Please bring your suggestions for the next book
to read.
Our next meeting with be held on Tuesday,
September 21, 2010, at 1:00 P.M. We will be starting
a new series of studies, using videos and discussion. The
name of the series is "Great Figures of the New Testament".
