Our History
Our first Sunday worship service occurred on Palm Sunday, March 14, 1991 in the Mountain Shadows Community Center in Sun City. On October 31, 1993, the congregation was officially chartered and became part of the Grand Canyon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In the spring of 1996, St. Andrew began construction of its present church building and the facility was consecrated in February 1997. On Palm Sunday, April 5, 2009 we broke ground for a new addition and the Fellowship Hall opened in October 2009. The former Fellowship Hall was then renovated and opened as the Education and Youth Center and the choir loft was expanded. The new facilities were dedicated on March 7, 2010. In 2023, we celebrated our Thirtieth Anniversary.
